Given : Male population = 58%

Literates = 70%

Male Literates 50%

To Find : Tabulate the above data

Solution:

Total Population = 100 %

Male population  = 58  %

Female population = 100 - 58 = 42 %

Literates = 70%

Non literate = 100 - 70 = 30 %

considering Male Literates 50% are out of Males only not of total population

Male Literates 50%  => (50/100) 58  = 29 %

Male Non literate  = 29 %

Literates = 70%

=> Female literate  = 70 - 29  = 41 %

   Female non literate

                        Male        Female

Literate             29 %        41 %             70 %

Non Literate     29 %         1  %             30 %

                         58 %         42 %           100 %

other possible solution :  if Male Literates 50% is of total population  ( not only of males )

                        Male        Female

Literate             50 %        20 %             70 %

Non Literate     8 %           22  %             30 %

                         58 %         42 %           100 %
