We know,

=> 27 = 3x + 2x - 3

=> 27 + 3 = 5x

=> 30 = 5x

=> 30/ 5 = x

=> 6 = x

The shortest side of the triangle is 6 cm

The third side of the triangle is ( 12 - 3 ) cm = 9 cm
