Let the total number of students be x

1/6 of total student were absent i.e, x/6 were absent.
And 750 present on that day

So,
Absent students + Present student = Total student

x/6 + 750 = x

x/6 = x-750

x = 6x - 6×750

=> 5x = 6×750

=> x = 6×750/5 = 6×150 = 900
Hence, The total number of students in the school is 900
