so number of girls be $\frac{3x}{5}$
number of boys be $x - \frac{3x}{5} = \frac{2x}{5}$
now
$\frac{2x}{5} = 200 \\ or. \: x = \frac{5 \times 200}{2} = 500$
so number students in the school is 500
