Failed English = 30%

Failed Math = 25%

.

Failed Both = 25% [ Failed both will have counted in Failed English as well as in Failed Math, so we would have double counted this number. We need to take away one set from the total during the computation of students that failed. ]

.

Total people who failed English, Math or both = 30 + 25 - 25 = 30%

Number of students who passed both = 100% - 30% = 70%

.

Answer: 70% of the students passed both English and Math.
