let the no of students be x.

% of girls = 35%.

% of boys will be 100 - 35 = 65%.

Given, 65% of x = 910
 
             65x/100 = 910

               x = 1400.

Number of girls in school = 1400 - 910 = 490

Total no of students = x
No of girls = (30/100)x = (7/20)x
No of boys = 910

NO. of girls = Total no of students - no of boys
(7/20)x = x- 910
Cross Multiply
7x = 20(x-910)
7x = 20x - 18200
18200 = 20x - 7x
18200 = 13x
18200/13 = x
1400 = x

Total no of students = 1400
No of girls = 30% of 1400
                 = 420 girls.
