In a school, 35% of the students are girls and the number of voys is 910. find the number of girls in the school . Also, find the enrolment in the school.

no. of boys = 910
no of girls = 35% of x
no of boys in %age = 65%
65% of x = 910
x = 1400
therfore girls = 1400-910
                      = 490

Finding percentage of boys :

100% - 35% = 65% (boys)

Finding Number of girls:

given boys are 910

if 65% = 910 boys

then 35% = ? girls

35 x 910 ÷ 65 = 31850 ÷ 65 = 490

hence number of girls = 490.

Finding number of students :

Total enrollment = boys + girls

Total enrollment = 490 + 910 = 1400.
