let total no. of student = x
then boys = 4x/9
girls = 775
according to question
4x/9+775=x
after solving x=1395
so no. of boys = 4/9 of 1395
= 620

HEYA!!!!

YOUR ANSWER:
Let the total no. of boys and girls be x
Fraction of boys: 4/9 of x
Then fraction of girls: 5/9 of x
But,
No. of girls = 775
That means:

5 \div 9 \: of \: x = 775

Then:

(775 \times 9) \div 5
By solving it, we get:
155 \times 9 = 1395
That means, a total of 1395 students are there in the school.

Then:

4 \div 9 \: of \: x = (4 \times 1395) \div 9 \\ = 4 \times 155 \\ = 620

That means that a total of 620 boys are there in the school.

ANOTHER METHOD FOR FINDING THE SOLUTION
The another method is that after finding the total students, you can just subtract the no. of girls from the total no. of students. Like:

total \: no. \: of \: students = 1395 \\ no. \: of \: girls \: = 775 \\ no. \: of \: boys = 1395 - 775 \\ = 620
