do 100-40 you will get 60 you have to do that because the percentage of boys should be equal to no of boys. So,
60/100x x=720(x because u hv to find total of boys)
x=720 x 100/60
ans=120 boys

% of girls= 40%
% of boys= 100%-40%
= 60%

60% of x= 720
60/100x = 720
x = 720*100/60
