In a school a p.t. teacher wants to arrange 2000 students in the form of rows and columns for p.t. dis plays . If the number of rows is equal to the number of rows of columns and 64 student could not be accommodated in this arrangement. Find the number of rows?

Number of students left to be accommodated = 64

So, Number of students arranged = 2000 - 64

                                                        = 1936

⇒ No. of rows × No. f columns = 1936

⇒ x² = 1936

⇒ x = 44

Hence, Number of rows in which the students are arranged = 44
