Answer:

10 teachers have joined the school.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that the school has 1200 students.

Ratio of number of teachers to Students is 1:15

∴ number of teachers in the school is 1/15 x 80/80 = 80 teachers.

So in the school there are 80 teachers and 1200 students.

After some teachers joins the school, the new ratio becomes 3:40

So number of teachers = 3/40 x 30/30 = 90/1200

Hence now the number of teachers have become 90.

∴ the number of teachers who joined the school = 90-80=10
