In the first case

Number of boys =660× 2213 =390Number of girls =660× 229 =270

Let the number of boys who left the school be x.

According to the question,

⇒ 270+30390−x = 56 390−x=360x=390−360=30.

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose total no. of boys in school=X

And total no. of girls in school=Y

Now total no. of students =(X+Y)

Total no. of girls=(1-4/5)*(Total no. of students)

i.e. Y=1/5*(X+Y)

But it is given that Y=200

So, 5*200=X+200

X=1000–200

X=800

So, total no. of boys in school=800

Hence,

total no. of students in school=800+200=1000
