Answer:

Let x be the number of students in the class.

Thus, amount deposited by a student is Rs. x

If, each student deposits Rs. x for Prime Ministers National Relief Fund in a class of x students, then the total sum donated by the class =x

2

Now,

x

2

=2401

⇒x=

2401

=

7×7×7×7

=7×7

=49

Thus, the number of students in the class =49

Answer:

Let x be the number of students in the class.

Thus, amount deposited by a student is Rs. x

If, each student deposits Rs. x for Prime Ministers National Relief Fund in a class of x students, then the total sum donated by the class =x^2.

Now,

    x^2  =2401

⇒x=  \sqrt{2401}

           = [tex]\sqrt{ 7 \times 7 \times 7 \times 7 }[/tex]

           =7×7

           =49

Thus, the number of students in the class = 49
