Number of trees in each row = same
Number of trees = 7+ number of rows
Let number of trees be 't'
Number of rows be 'n'
Given t = n+7
n*(n+7) = 144
n^2 + 7n - 144 = 0
n^2 +16n - 9n - 144 = 0
n(n+16) -9(n+16) = 0
(n-9)(n+16) = 0
n = 9
Hence number of rows = 9.
Hope it helps.
