Cost of each sapling=175
Saplings planted= 95
Amount spent=175×95
Distributive property
(175×100)-(175×5)
=17500-875
=Rs.16625

Step-by-step explanation:

NO. of saplings planted = 98

Cost of 1 saplings = Rs. 175

Cost of 98 saplings ( Using distributive property )

= 175 × 95

= ( 175 × 100 ) - ( 175 × 5 )

= 17500 - 875

= 16625
