In a school, the number of boys who play cricket is 3 times as
much as the number of boys who play tennis. If 12 boys, who
play cricket, play tennis instead, the number of boys who play
each of these sports would be the same. Find the number of boys
who play tennis.

Answer :-

Let the number of boys who plays tennis are x .

so,

→ Number of boys who plays cricket = 3x .

→ (3x - 12) = (x + 12)

→ 3x - x = 12 + 12

→ 2x = 24

→ x = 12 .

therefore, the number of boys who play tennis are 12 .
