In a school the ratio of number of male teachers to that of female teachers is 4:3 .if there are 12 female teachers find the number of male teachers

let the number of male and female teacher be 4A and 3A respectively,


then according to the question, we have

3A=12,

then

A=4,


therefore

male teachers=4×4=16,

female teachers =3×4=12

Let the no. of male teacher be 4x
and the no. of female teacher be 3x {12}
Therefore,
3x = 12
x = 12 ÷ 3
x = 4
Putting value of x , to find the no. of male teacher
Therefore,
no. of male teacher = 4x
= 4 × 4
= 16 male teacher
