To find:-

• Total number of students.

Assumption:-

Let, Total no. of boys be 8x

And,

Total number of girls be 7x

By the Problem:-

$8x = 240 \\ = > x = \frac{240}{8} \\ = > x = 30$

Answer :-

Total number of boys=8x=$8 \times 30 = 240 \: boys$

Total number of girls=7x=$7 \times 30 = 210 \: girls$

So, total students =(210+240)

=>450 students.
