The probability that selected student is boy and is in team is 0.1

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • In a school there are 100 students out which 50 are in a team, out of which 10 are boys.

The students are in team is 50.

In team, the number of boys is 10 and the number of girls are 40.

  • Out of remaining 50 ,30 are girls.

So, the number of boys are 20 and the number of girls are 30.

The total number of boys in school are 30.

And the total number of girls in school are 70.

 \rightarrow \: p(boys \: and \: in \: team) = \frac{50}{100} \times \frac{10}{50} = 0.1

The probability that selected student is boy and is in team is 0.1 .
