In a school there are 1500 boys and some are girls. If the number of boys are 75 %, calculate the number of girls??

Answer: Total number of boys=1500

75% includes 1500 boys.

100% includes 1500/75×100

=2000students

no of girls= 2000- 1500

= 500 girls

Let the total number of students (boys +girls) = x

then 75% of x = 1500

75x/100=1500

x=(1500×100)/75

x=2000

so as boys are 75% of total

girls will be {100-75}%=25%

therefore

number of girls

= 25% of 2000

=(25/100) × 2000

=2000/4

=500

number of girls =500
