Step-by-step explanation:

let original no. of students = x

Original no. of girls = 20x/100 = x/5

no. of boys admitted = 10

no. of girls admitted = 20

Total children admitted = 30

New no. of students = x + 30

No. of girls = 25/100 × ( x + 30 )

= (x + 30) / 4 ➡️ 1

Also , No. of girls = Original no. + No. of girls admitted = x/5 + 20 = ( x + 100) / 5➡️2

From eq 1 and 2

( x + 30 ) / 4 = ( x + 100 ) 5

5x + 150 = 4x + 400

x = 250
