Answer :-

Given :-

  • Number of girls in last 5 years = 600
  • Number of girls is increased by 9% this year

To Find :-

  • Number of girls this year

Solution :-

Here, we are given that there were 600 girls in last 5 years, and this year number of girls is increased by 9%. So, we can find number of girls which will be 9% of 600.

Number of girls increased this year = 600 × 9%

= 600 × 9/100

= 6 × 9

= 54

Number of girls increased this year = 54

Number of girls this year = Number of girls in last 5 years + Number of girls increased this year

= 600 + 54

= 654

Number of girls this year = 654
