In a series circuit, how is the brightness of the first bulb affected when the second bulb is connected?

Answer:

In case of series circuit, both the two bulbs will glow dimly. It is because the resistance in the circuit due to the bulbs increases. With the electric potential difference remaining same, the current decreases and hence the bulbs glow dimly.
