Total cars in the showroom=250
Ratio of diesel cars to that of petrol cars= 3:2
Diesel cars=3x, petrol cars=2x
3x+2x=250, 5x=250, x=50

Petrol cars=2x=2x50=100
Diesel cars=3x=3x50=150

Percentage of petrol cars=
100/250 x 100 = 40%

Percentage of diesel cars=
150/250 x 100 = 60%

Hope this helps
