When we throw two dice the outcome will be 6×6=36. So, n(total outcome) =36. The probability of getting prime number is (2,2), (2,3), (2,5), (3,2), (3,3), (3,5), (5,2), (5,3), (5,5) so n(no. of favourable)= 9. P(e)= no. of favourable/ total no. Of outcome = 9/36 = 1/4. So the probability of getting prime number is 1/4. ii) a total of 9: (3,6), (6,3), (4,5), (5,4) and 11: (5, 6), (6,5). so there are 6 favourable and the total out comes is 36( when u throw two dice). P(e)= no. of favourable/ total no. Of outcome = 6/36= 1/6
