If T is the time period, then time required for a point to move from maximum displacement is zero displacement is T/4.

according to the question,

                             T/4 = 0.170

                                T = 0.170 * 4

                                T = 0.680

we know that time period, T = 1/n   ( n = frequency )

                             therefore, 0.680 = 1/n

                                                  n = 1/0.680

                                                  n = 1.47 Hz

dhivyasivakumar12: How T/4
dhivyasivakumar12: Please let me know pls help
neet84: how T/4?
vedp06037: Because when we move from mean position to either A or-A the time period is T/4
