Metal M is more reactive.

Explanation:

  • Any molecule forming a salt undergoes ionic bonding between them. And ionic bonding requires transfer of electrons between the molecules.
  • So it is a strong bond made by electronegative attraction. Thus in order to break that bond and to displace lead from lead acetate, the reactive of the displacing element need to be stronger than lead. So the metal strip M has more reactivity than lead.
