in a specific group of unsaturated hydrocarbons , though the ratio of carbon and hydrogen atoms is 1:2, ch2 is not the first member of those hydrocarbons.
What is the reason for this?

the given ration of Carbon and hydrogen is empirical formulae ratio and not the molecular formulae ratio. Hence there may be many such formulae have empirical ratio 1:2.
