Your answer=50 students

\bf{Step\:Wise\:explanation}

Let the total number of students be x.

A/Q

Absent percent=8% of x.

Absent number of students=4

So,

8% of x =4

8/100 × x =4

By cross multiplication

x=4×100/8

x=100/2

x=50

So, total students=50

<big><b>The answer is as follows :-</big></b>

Let the total no.of students joining academy be <b>x</b> .

Percent of absentees = 8%

No.of absentees = 4

ATQ ,

8\% \:  \: of \:  \: x \:  \:  =  \:  \: 4

  =  > \frac{8}{100}  \times x \:  = 4

 =  > x \:  =  \frac{4 \times 100}{8}

Here , 4 and 8 get cut by <b>2</b> .

 =  > x =  \frac{100}{2}

 =  > x \:  = 50

( As 100 and 2 get cut by <b>50</b> .)

<big><b>Ans :- There were total 50 students in the academy .</big></b>
