children=x

men=3x

women=2(3x)=6x

x+3x+6x=960

10x=960

x=96(children)       women=96*6=576

therefore there are 576 women in the hall

Step-by-step explanation:

let the no of children in a stadium be x .

then, no of women= 3x

and,no of men= 2(3x)

total no of people = x+3x +6x

= 10x

but total no of people= 960

since,10x=960

x= 960/10

= 96

total no of men= 6*96= 576
