In a steady flow system, 1 kg of fluid per second enters the
control volume at a pressure of 1 bar and it leaves the
system at a pressure of 10 bar. The inlet and exit velocities
are 40 m/sec. and 20 m/sec. respectively. During this
process 36 x 109 kJ or heat transfer per hour to the control
volume. The rise in enthalpy of the fluid is 15 kJ/kg.
Calculate the power developed by the system. Neglect
change in potential energy.

Explanation:

q =  \frac{36 \times 10 {}^{3} }{3600} = 10000j per \: second \\  \\ w = 4400 \: j \: per \: sec \\ w = 4.4kw
