Required Answer:-

Total weight of the berries initially was 200 kg. And it was 99% full of moisture. Then 1% other substances.

That is,

  • 1% of 200 kg = 2 kg

Now after drying in the sun, moisture content is 98%. Then rest substances is 2%. That means, 2 kg is 2% of total weight of watermelon now.

Hence,

➛ 2% of total weight now = 2 kg

➛ 2/100 × Total weight now = 2 kg

➛ Total weight now = 100 kg.

Therefore,

Total weight of the berry after two days will be 100 kg.

Answer:

Required Answer :-

Total Percentage remains = 100 - 99 = 1%

1% of 200 kg = 2 kg

Now,

Remaining weight = 100 - 98 = 2%

2% of weight = 2

2/100 × Weight = 2

1/50 × W = 2

50 × 2 = W

100 = W

Therefore,

Weight of berries is 100 kg
