in a submarine equipped with sonar the time between transmission of ultrasonic signal and reception of echo from an enemy submarine is found to be 70s. What is the distance of enemy submarine?

speed = distance / time 

given, speed of sound = 1498
           time to reach the enemy submarine = 70 

distance = 1498 * 70
              =104860 meter OR 104.86 km
