In a suovey of 400 students in a school, 100
were listed as taking apple juices 150 as taking
orange juice. Find how many students were taking
neither apple juice nor orange juice​

There are 400 students.So,n(s)=400.

100 students take apple juice,n(A)=100

150 take orange juice,n(o)=150

75 students take both apple abd orange juice,n(A∩o)=75

So,n(A∪o)=n(A)+n(o)−n(A∩o)

=100+150−75

=175

Number of students taking neither apple nor orange  juice,

n(A∪o  )=n(s)−n(A∪o)

=400−175

=225
