Answer:

Given

in a survey of 200 girls

110 disliked

Rest ,that is 90 liked

If a girl is chosen random

The probability of

i) She likes tea

We know

probability=number of outcome/total number of outcome

that is

p(likes the tea)=90/200

you can further simplify it as

9/20

therefore the probability of "likes the tea"=9/20

ii) She dislikes tea

We know

probability=number of outcome/total number of outcome

that is

p(dislikes the tea)=110/200

you can further simplify it as

11/20

therefore the probability of "dislikes the tea"=11/20

we know sum of all probabilities of an event=1

let's check whether it's correct or not

2 probabilities are here in this event

that is

 \frac{9}{20} + \frac{11}{20} = 1 \\ \\ \frac{9 + 11}{20} = 1 \\ \\ \frac{20}{20} = 1 \\ 1 = 1

L.H.S=R.H.S

hence verified

hope it helps
