In A Survey Of 825 peoples,400 liked Apple,450 liked Banana ,150 liked both & 125 peoples didn't liked any of the fruits.Find How Many Peoples didn't like Banana.

Answer:

Let Apple eaters may be denoted as A

Banana eaters may be denoted as B

and total sample may be denoted as E

So, |A|=400

|B| =450

|A intersection B|=150

To find non banana eaters = total sample - banana eaters

= 825-450=375

OR

Only banana eaters = 450-150=300

only Apple eaters = 400-150=250(these people don't like banana)

so 250+ non fruit lover = 250+125=375

Thus we can resolve in 2 ways.
