In a temperate deciduous forest humus is maximum in forest soil horizon. Forest soil is Highly related to the vegetations present in and around it. For examples when the leaves get old they are listened from the tree and fall on the ground which is later converted to humus portion of the soil. Thus humus is maximum in forest soil horizon because it has been highly influenced with it.
