In a temple, there are 12 cylindrical pillars. The radius of each pillar is 14 cm and height
5m. Find the cost of painting the pillars at the rate of Rs. 10 per sq. metre.​

Given,

Radius of Pillar= 14 cm =0.14m

Height of Pillar= 5m

Now,

Curved Surface area of 1 Pillar(C)=2πrh

= 2×22/7×0.14×5= 4.4 sq m

Total cost of painting= Total pillars×C×Rate of painting

=12×4.4×10=₹528
