In a test (+4) marks are given for every correct answer and (-2) for every wrong answer. Akash answered all the questions and scored 90 marks. 25 of Akash’s answer were correct. How many of the questions he attempted were incorrect? ​

Given that :-

⇒ Marks for correct answer = (+4)

⇒ Marks for incorrect answer = (-2)

⇒ Akash got = 90 marks

⇒ No. of answers correct of Akash = 25

To find :-

⇒ ∴ No. of answers attempted as incorrect by Akash in the exam where (+4) is allotted for correct answer and (-2) where Akash score 90 marks.

Solution :-

Multiply 4 by 25 and then subtract 90 from 100. Divide the result by 2, to find the incorrect answers.

25 × 4

10 ÷ 2

Answer :-

⇒ The incorrect answers of Akash in the exam was 5.
