In a test, 5 marks are given for every correct answer and (-2) marks are given for every
answer. Ramesh answered all the question and scored 30marks through the gor 10 correct ans
Find the total number of question in the test.​

Let the number of questions where Ramesh gave wrong ans be x

then ramesh gave 10 correct ans.. so his marks for correct answers = 5*10 = 50 marks...

Now 50 + x*-2 = 30  (As we did 5*10 for getting 50 marks... so we did x*-2 to get the marks for x questions)

x* -2 = -20

x = -20/-2 = 10

Now the questions where Ramesh gave wrong ans = 10

So total questions = 10 (He gave correctly) + 10 (He gave incorrectly) = 20 questions

TO CHECK:-

50 + x*-2 = 30

50 + 10*-2 = 30

50 -20 = 30

30 = 30

Hence proved :D ..
