Let's say that 1 full answer gives 2pts.
So if we have 8 questions - then full answer gives 16pts, but candidate secured only 50% of this points. So candidates earn 8pts.
8 pts gives him 40% total. So:
8pts - 40%
xpts - 100%
Then:
40x = 800
x= 20
Answer is 20 questions

lalitprakash: Answer should be 10. The 20 is the total points.Each question carries 2 points.So the number of questions will be 10.
