In a test a student got 30% marks to pass a yest. If a student gets 135 marks and fails by 15 marjs find the maximum marks of the test

Solution :-----

He got 135 marks and failed by 15 marks ,

That means passing marks were = 135 + 15 = 150 marks .

And, it is also said that passing marks were 30% .

so,

30\% -  -  -  -  -  - 150 \\ 1\% -  -  -  -  -  -   \frac{150}{30}  \\ 100\% -  -  -  -  -  \frac{150 \times 100}{30}  = 500

so, Maximum passing marks were = 500 (Ans)
