In a test,correct answers carry +3 marks and wrong answers carry -1 marks.Ramesh answered all the questions.He scored 79 marks,though he maked 5 mistakes.Find the number of correct answers?

y= no of wrong answers

3x+1y=79

we know that y=5(-1)=-5

so replacing y on eq

3x-5=79

3x=84

x=28

so,28 crct answers
