The bucket would contain far more heat but at most it’s temperature could only be 212* F or 100* C maximum, the temperature of boiling water. The flame of a lit match would be much hotter but, because of it’s small mass, would not contain as much heat. You can easily picture the difference by imagining holding a lit match under a bucket of cold water. The temperature of the water in the bucket would barely change from the heat supplied from the one match.
