Answer:

Let the number be 100H+10T+U

Hundreds: H

Tens: T

Units: U

If

H = 2T and U = 3T

Then

2T + T + 3T = 18

6T = 18

T = 18/6 = 3

Then

H = (2T) 2 x 3 = 6

And

U = (3T) = 3 x 3 = 9

Hundreds = 6, Tens = 3 and Units = 9

Hence number is 639 .... (Ans)

Number is written as : Hundreds Tens Unit

So, according to question let hundreds digit is a and tens digit is b and unit digit is c.

then, a = b + 2

         c = b - 2

         a + b + c = 18  {it is given} -----------------(1)

by putting values of a and c in equation (1)

         b + 2 + b + b - 2 = 18

          3b = 18

         b = 6

Hence, a = 8

            b = 6

            c = 4

The number is 864.
