Question :-

→ In a three-digit number ,the unit's digit is thrice the hundred's digit. Also ,the ten's digit is obtained by adding the hundred's digit and the unit's digit. If the sum of the digits of the no.is 16,then find the original number.

Given :-

→ The original no. is a 3 digit number

→ Unit's digit is thrice the hundred's digit

→ Ten's digit is obtained by adding the hundred's digit and the unit's digit

→ Sum of all digits of the original number is 16

To Find :-

→ The original number

Solution :-

→ Let the hundred's digit be ' x '

  then, the unit's digit will be  ' 3x '

 and , the ten's digit will be ' 3x + x \; = \; 4x '

→ As we're given that sum of all digits is 16

  then we can write original no. as ,

 \longrightarrow x + 3x + 4x = 16

→ Let's solve the equation !

\longrightarrow x + 3x + 4x = 16\\\\\longrightarrow 8x = 16 \\\\\longrightarrow x  = \dfrac{16}{8} \\\\\longrightarrow x = 2

∴ Unit digit ⇒ 3x ⇒ 3 × 2 ⇒ 6

∴ Ten's digit ⇒ 4x ⇒ 4 × 2 ⇒ 8

∴ Hundred's digit ⇒ x ⇒ 2
