When a dice is thrown,
Possible Outcomes are 1,2,3,4,5 and 6
Total number of Outcomes = 6
Favourable Outcomes are 2,4 and 6
Number of Favourable Outcome = 3
Probability = Favourable Outcomes / Total number of Outcomes
= 3 / 6
= 1/2

Probability = Favourable Outcomes / Total number of Outcomes
= 3 / 6
= 1/2

n(sample space) = { 1 ,2,3 ,4, 5 ,6}
Now,
P(E) of getting a even number = 3 /6 = 1/2
Hope it helps... :)
