Solution :

In a throw of dice, the probability of getting an odd number less than 3 is 1/6

Sample space :

1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6

Total outcomes = 6

Odd number less than 3 = 1

So, Favourable outcomes = 1

Probability = Favourable outcomes/Total outcomes

Put the values

Probability of getting an odd number less than 3 = 1/6

More to know :

  • A dice has six faces.
  • Each face has the probability of 1/6.
