Absolute value of dispersion = Rs 17,500

Relative value of dispersion = 0.467

Explanation:

Computing the absolute value of dispersion and the formula is as:

Absolute value of dispersion = Quartile deviation

whose formula is

= Quartile 3 - Quartile 1 / 2

where

Quartile 3 is Rs 55,000

Quartile 1 is Rs 20,000

So, putting the values above:

Absolute value of dispersion = Rs 55,000 - Rs 20,000 / 2

Absolute value of dispersion = Rs 35,000 / 2

Absolute value of dispersion = Rs 17,500

Now,

Computing the relative value of dispersion and the formula is as:

Relative value of dispersion = Co-efficient of Quartile deviation

whose formula is

Relative value of dispersion = Quartile 3 - Quartile 1 / Quartile 3 + Quartile 1

So,

Relative value of dispersion = Rs 55,000 - Rs 20,000 / Rs 55,000 + Rs 20,000

Relative value of dispersion = Rs 35,000 / Rs 75,000

Relative value of dispersion = 0.467
