Solution :

We are given Number of men, women, children in a town. to find the population, We add all the given values of number of men, women, children.

Now,
Number of men = 5106
Number of women = 3982
Number of children = 2016 .

The question asks us to find the estimated population. So according to question , Before adding number of men, women and child, we need to round off to nearest hundreds.

Number of women ( Rounded to nearest hundred ) = 4000
Number of men ( Rounded to nearest hundred ) = 5100
Number of children ( Rounded to nearest hundred ) = 2000

So,
Estimated population = 4000 + 5100 + 2000 = 11,100 .

Therefore , The estimated population is 11,100
